As you guys have probably already guessed from the massive amounts of posts I've made in the past day I'm OC'ing my GTX 480. Currently I have it at 840 Core, 1680 Shader, and 1935 Memory. I have no idea what the voltages are as EVGA precision does not display those. Anyway I've been playing a free mmo called Vindictus to test my GPU, it doesn't gone past 80 C, heck even upper 70s is rare, the FPS is above 60, and the fan speed hasn't broken 65% yet. This is all with highest graphics setting and AA x8 + Antistopic Texture x16 + 1650 x 1080 res (my monitors max). I ran Vindictus with windows experience index in the background and the results were quite pleasing as even at 90%-100% GPU usage my temps, fan speed, and fps were still in the ranges mentioned above. I also ran Metro 2033 with the same settings and got almost the same results, my fps was in the 40s.
Later I downloaded OCCT and it found over 1500 errors in just 5 minutes. Note that I did not see any artifacts while gaming and I have not had a game freeze up on me (except when my internet connection was super weak). But OCCT did make my card hit 90 C, as well.
So should I be worried?
