is my computer broken

today i turned off my computer then when i turned it back on my monitor keep on displaying "monitor is save mod" i can;t get it to get out of it. i think i might have fried my VC cause the fan was really load after it. i thought i would try it on my big screen tv....it still won;t show any picture. if my VC fried or is there something eles i can do to fix this.

Sounds broken to me

Pull your card out and blow the fan out really well and re-seat it.
Try a different monitor if you can.
