Is my 640 performing slower then average??

Hey guys i got a intel P4 640 3.2Ghz HT with 1gb of geil dual channel rams, i tried shrinking a dvd file using Clone dvd so i can burn it to a normal DVD disk but its takes 65min for 7.66GB, i am doing disk because after normally when i buy a original dvd movie i do this as aback up incase my original get stuffed up. Is 65min for 7.66GB too slow for my P4, should it go any faster?
 
The problem is more I/O speed, than CPU speed
(how fast your memory is, how fast the DVD can be read/burned, etc...)

Granted faster CPU's do it faster, but its still going to take a lot of time b/c you can only get that information in to the CPU so fast.
