I cant get a signal to my monitor at all when I have a video card plugged in 2nd pcie x8 slot, mobo doesn't pick it up at all.
video card works fine in the primary 1st pcie x16 slot.
I tried to use my x1 sound card in the 2nd pcie x16 slot and the mobo actually picks it up.
so its not a video card, its not a pcie slot, what can it be?
I even tried using 5 different video cards in the 2nd slot, some are even pcie 2.0 and still no signal to the display.
when I have both pcie slots plugged in with video cards I can go in the bios, and it shows nothing in the 2nd pcie x8 slot.
The motherboard is Asus Z87-Pro
The video cards used to troubleshoot are two MSI 980's, XFX R290, MSI 560ti and Gigabyte 560ti.
The PSU is Corsair 1000w Gold.
I really need someone to help me out on this, maybe there is something in the Bios that needs to be set right to work? but everything is set on Auto so I am kind of confused.
