did dell stop shipping the ips monitors??? i read it in the sammy vs dell 2007 thread. i hope its not cause i was planinng on getting one.

I've seen recent posts where people have gotten a revision A04 (a new revision) that is S-IPS. I don't know what's really going on with Dell though....a large part of it may be where you are located because the 3 main countries of manufacture are China/Mexico for North America and then Czech Republic for UK/Europe.

Yeah, I will probably keep the monitor even if I get an S-PVA.

Unless something is really wrong with it, or if it doesn't satisfy my needs, I will return it.

I looked at both the Dell 20.1 2007FPW monitor I received 2 days and it doesn't state anything on the panel type. Both are Revision A04.

Did you check the hidden menu? (Hold Menu and the + while powering it on and then once the source indicator goes away press the - button and then it should bring up the menu)
