Probably not worth it, depending on your needs vs. available fundage. Wait for Haswell at the earliest, IMO.

And in the meantime get an SSD. :D
 
I think it would be but like the guy above said, wait 3-4 months and go with Haswell. Its too close now to justify Ivy when you've still got a pretty solid processor.
 
I ran a paor of the intel m25's when they first came out and wasn't too happy with them, I think you're right,

SSD time again...
