Is it possible?

To fold using the SMP Window's client and use the GPU client (console version) at the same time? I have a 6600 CPU and two ATI 1900XT video cards. Also, does anyone know why the SMP client is worth so many points as compared to the GPU version? I always thought the GPU's were performing more calculations than the CPU clients and would be worth more points.

It blows.

I tried it on a P4D 3.0 w/ x1950 Pro and it ended up as just about the same overall PPD as SMP alone. I'm guessing the hit would be more on a C2D rig.

In short a GPU needs 1x core (of anything, P3/P4/C2D just wants the whole core) to produce max PPD from GPU. Any hit in the feeding core affects the GPU. Under this case you basically get 50% of a core feeding it. Big hit.

The SMP cores have huge bonuses and the GPU cores are greatly under-pointed for the amount of calculations they do... Stanford may change all of this though, both SMP and GPU clients are still beta.
