is it possible to install all updates with fresh install of XP?

Hey i was wondering since you can save your windows updates exe files is it possible to put it inside of the install cd so you dont have to download as much windows updates from microsoft everytime you format? I think i read an article about that somewhere but i cant find it, any help would be awsome, thanks.
