...run anything else while testing with orthos? I can't imagine it would hurt, since it pushes to 100% regardless of what else is going on, but i wanted to be sure. Oblivion looks sooooo good, I would like to be able to play it in the next 24 hours.

Well.... if Orthos is using 100% CPU... how much does that leave for other programs???? 0.

Sure.. play Oblivion while orthos is running.. if you don't mind about 1 frame every 20 seconds.

I have surf the internet while running Orthos and had no problems.

You could run orthos/prime 95 on one core if you have dual core

but whats the point of that? if your stress testing then you want to put equal, 100%, stress on each core. if your load temp testing, then you also want the same max load on each core. oblivion does not put as much stress on the CPU as orthos or TAT does even though it may say in task manager its using 100%.

surfing the net or something is fine, that barely takes 1% of your CPU usage and wont interfere with much. i wouldnt burn a DVD while orthos was crunching though.
