Is it just me? Windows update.

Lately with reinstalls trying to get updated it appears that access is hidden through the menus for update and security. I mean I can find it, but what about mom and pop? Are they trying to save bandwidth or is it less of a concern with auto update? Like installs/re-installs smoother rahter than have to navigate throughnon-existant menus, wassup wit dat?

Sorry, had to do a reinstall twice and it looks like it was the video card after all. This machine is the old standby. Had a hard time finding stuff because things seem hidden. Will delete this thread.
