I have been noticing that the 6800 series of cards suck for 3dmark. Whats up with that? I mean, obviously, you buy the card to play games (which is why I am buying the BGF 6800 Ultra) but looking on the ORB has left me disheartened. I enjoy benchmarking and competing, regardless of how relevant it is (dont start flaming me about how 3dmark sux, i think its fun). How come the 6800 series is so much weaker than the x800 series in both 03 and 01 (in 3dmark01, theres only 1 6800 series over 30K, where as there are lots of x800s, and even one x800 over 35k
)? Is there a technical reason? and PLEASE don't say that ATI or nvidia sux, blah, blah, blah. DO NOT turn this into a fan boy war. I just want to know why nvidia is competing fairly with ATI in game benchmarks, and getting crushed in 3dmark.
