Is Intel kicking some serious ass?

This IDF showing has left me nothing short of impressed. Core 2 is already out, and they are already making plans for their onew microarchitectures. Their mobile showing also really impressed me, I forsee myself ditching this D820 for a Santa Rosa platform once they come out. Then there's Kentsfield with the 4-core-enabled game, and the 80-core die they showed off. Yes, I'm very impressed so far. GO INTEL!!!
 
Well, IDFs (no matter what company is showing new/future products), can have a bit of give and take. Just look at a few of the past few years' worth of Intel's. There's some give and take needed.
But yes, if some of the items they're showing and previewing per say come to life, even on server side, it's very very exciting :D. Seeing that waffer with 6400 cores on it was like "woah".
Should be interesting, and it usually is ;).
