I was in middle of dl'ing something the other night and had to stop. Shut computer off.

when powered on next time, at Windows startup, i was told

the following file is missing or corrupt
\WINNT\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEMced

once I was also told that my cpu was not working properly, but this was only once, the other times was the above message.

I am using Win2K and everything has been working fine. Computer works properly on restarts, but when shut off, then powered on, I have the problem.

Any ideas?
