Is intel integrated graphics an emulated GPU?

Looking at the size of intel's processors, and their limits in graphics, I'm thinking the integrated graphics is all done in software. I can't find much on the internet, strangely. Anyone here can confirm?

The clue is the word integrated.
ie not software.

The title of the file in the link says:
File:coffee lake die (quad core) (annotated).png
The picture has six cores, lol (unless they disable two cores, in which case jokes on me).

I suspect someone copied the text from the prev generation. With that said Intel may do that for the i3s but not sure.

Only Xeons(SKL-SP etc) got disabled cores. All client parts got their own masks and only separated by cache, HT and additional instruction sets and features.

And to the OP, no emulated GPUs.

Only Larrabee was an emulated GPU. Because it was just a bunch of programmable Atom cores:

They never released it because the performance sucked.

Intel integrated graphics is fixed-function.
