Damn my friend who works at fry's says it isnt going to be open at 12:00! only EB games!

have you heard whats in the box ? Nothing, just cd's in paper sleaves, and NO manual or anything like that ? Also dont get DOD:S

Ya but at least the people who get the box have the CD's, But the people who didnt buy the CD's have to download Half-life2 on steam again! you can just install it on the CD's if you buy the box!!!! who cares if theres no manuals in the box.

And can't you just download DOD source for FREE!! instead of buying it becuase its a mod?
 
Not fond of researching are you? With the steam backup utility you can create the very same CD you want using a CD burner. Better yet, you can put it all on one DVD. THere are labels out that you can use to print your own labels that look way better then retail. Plus you get more with the steam packages. So in other words, you have no arguement.

What if you don't have a credit card (or any other form on online payment Steam may use)?
 
What if you work for say Best Buy or EB or Frys? Then you get an employee discount. :)
 
Steam accepts Credit and Check cards, which come with pretty much all checking accounts. That leaves the option of coming up with cold hard cash and taking it down to the store. If that is your only option, buy retail. This just seems too obvious to me.
 
Dude, most of the stores are selling it right now. Go get it and install before midnight...
