Is folding actually helping?

well we have had multiple threads about how and why its helping.. this one should be locked so we dont start another flaming war like the last one..
 
Could you give a specific example of how it's helped? I'm just curious, not eager to start a flame war.
 
I think so, I mean just recently they found a way to pretty much stop aids. also cancer treatment has gone leaps and bounds farther since people started folding.
