SirKenin said:I don't care about Anand. He's a sold out loser. I have seen all these monitors personally, comparing up to 15 of them side by side and I still hold to the fact that BenQ is crap and their specs are wildly overstated. I can't remember where that review is on the internet, but search for the 24" widescreen reviews and you'll probably find it.
Don't bother with Anand. All he is interested in is manufacturer freebies and the almighty dollar. He has proven on many occasions that he doesn't have a clue what he's talking about.
I would love to see any documented proof of this. But just to note Anand didn't write the review that I'm referencing although it is on Anands site. But beyond that I would love to see any postings you have of a more unbiased opinion about overall grading of LCD monitors. If you read Anands primer (actually Kubickis http://www.anandtech.com/displays/showdoc.aspx?i=1855 ), I think it's pretty hard to argue that he doesn't know what he's talking about. He goes over the specifics about what to look for, what different visual defects there are, how they are produced, and of course general knowledge of LCD's.
If he honestly was trying to make a buck or get more handouts, he would have tried to suck dells e-penis significantly more by making wild statements about it being the best monitor ever. But he doesn't he simply points out what is good about it, and what is bad.
Please refrain from making blanket statments especially when you don't post them with proof, or even a bunch of users opinions with the same experience. Anandtech is a very far cry from many of the episodes of THG which truly is a sold out website.
