Is 430W enough for my setup?

My computer has been crashing randomly under 85% cpu load when I run system intensive programs, what is weird is I do not get a BSOD or anything, my computer just shuts off and restarts, I called a local computer store and they recommend me a new PSU

I was wondering if my current Seasonic S12-430 was good enough to handle the following:

Asus P5B Deluxe
Intel E7300
2 x 2048MB DDR2 800 RAM
5 x WD 640GB HD
1 x 300 GB HD
1 x Adaptec RAID
1 x 8800gt

Anyone ever had the same problem?

Thanks!

Yes, absolutely. The S12-430HT has 29A on the +12V rail which is more than enough for your components.

Heed the warning, it does sound like your PSU is up the spout.
Best try another one (that is powerful enough) from a friend before splashing out.
Use your PC as little as possible until you know it is safe as you dont want to provoke the PSU to die.

Sounds like my old flaky Thermaltake. Hit that bitch with a voltage meter and you'll find out if that's your problem.

It should be enough for your system but, it just maybe acting flaky. Try another psu in there. If you don't have one, get the Antec EA500 from Best Buy and put your system under load and see if you computer crashes and reboots. My Q6600 + 8800GT system was crashing and freezing at startup with my Antec 480 watt psu with 33A on the +12v. I swapped it out with an Antec EA650 and it hasn't crashed or froze ever since.
