Hey, sorry to post this but I've been looking for a while, and since the search is turned off, it is very hard to do so. I'm having a problem and I would like to seek some real time help via hardocp irc, but I can't find the irc address. Can someone please post it for me?

Thanks a bunch.

You could always post the problem here. It will get much much more exposure.

Yeah seriously. There are so many people here you will probably have several answers within a few minutes.

Fair enough. I could post this in the Displays section, but since I have already started something here, I'll just continue in this thread.

I have just recently gotten into the dual monitors phase. I am using a monitor, and a tv for my second display. When I activate my second display (the tv), it displays wayy too big and I have so scroll with my mouse to see all of it. I have tried adjusting the res of it, but it still stays the same, and only changes the size of my wallpaper on the tv.

Am I doing something wrong here? I've tried everything that I know of, but I'm sure there's more I can do. Thanks.

What video card and what resolution are you on and trying to change to? On a lot of cards there is a max resolution of 800x600 that you can output to a tv, and even that is kinda stretching what a tv can do.

btw - [H]ard|Gawd!!! Finally.

Its just a cheap Radeon 9200 I picked up at a computer show. I've tried it at all of the resolutions, and its still too big. My tv is less then a year old, would it still be the same problem?

Well it looks like the 9200's max tv resolution is 1024x768 so that should be plenty. Not sure why it won't go up that far. Do you have the newest drivers?

Chatting on IRC is ALOT more fun then on the forum. If you have computer issues though i would keep them to the forum because you'll get better feedback.

The HardOCP IRC channel is on EFNET. Just pick any random EFNET server and log onto the channel #hardocp.

Another good one is the Tomshardware IRC chat. I'm on it alot and the guys are all real friendly.

Its on the hub1.oddnet.net server and the channel is #tomshardware.

Thanks for all your responses everyone. I cannot believe how stupid I was not to check my drivers. I'm tired, gimme a break. :p

lol. thanks.
