IRC

Hmm, it is possible a DooKey blocker was recently installed. Blame Patriot.

Maybe IRC needs some Ex Lax if it has DooKey blockage...
 
Thanks for all the help. I still can't get in.

An OP has obviously set things so SSL is required. If a bot or user is already in the channel it doesn't effect them. Who the fuck did it because I'm not going to load an SSL certificate and go to the trouble to get in #hardfolding.
 
Alright fo serious, what are you using to log on? I know I have not had to do anything differently since you last logged on.

I have used a irc client and a web client and I get a message that says:

-herbert.freenode.net- Only users using SSL could join this channel!
 
Yikes, well hopefully someone more knowledgeable on irc can help. All I know is that I changed nothing on my end, though I have been logged in the entire time.

Edit: What about other channels?

That's the issue. It doesn't effect those logged in when the change is made.

I can get into other IRC channels with no problem.

FWIW, I was able to log into #hardfolding this evening using Hexchat without any issues.
 
An OP needs to turn off the SSL on the channel. Simple as that.

I am not sure that is the problem I have not been logged into irc for a few day's I loged in toninght for the first time in 3 days without any problems. When was the last time you logged in ? has it been loner than 3 days ago.

*fixed it... SSL should be on imo.
Even if it is a dookey blocker :p

Dookey the simple fix is to get a client that supports SSL. :p
 
From home I couldn't log in using the web client using either IE11 or FF and I had SSL checked in my settings. Not sure what else would be needed at that point. From work yesterday I was fine....
