Can anyone recommend an IPS monitor with 1600x1200 resolution that is under $600?

I know NEC and EIZO both make those specifications but I cannot justify paying paying 1k each when I need it for a dual monitor setup.

Is there a reason you prefer 1600x1200? I'm pretty sure you could get a 27" 2560x1440 for under 600.

trying checking this thread as well http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1307177

I prefer 20 inch monitors for focus purposes. The setup I am going for would be double or triple 20's and with one main monitor as the primary. I also tend to maximize my windows a lot rendering the 20+ inch monitor useless as it produces too much white space.

My suggestion would be to pick them up on eBay. You can sometimes find new in box or manufacturer refurbs reasonably priced ($200-$250ish). I've seen NEC 2090s go for that price, anyway. I've also seen them go used for much cheaper too, around $60-$75.

I think the only Eizo at 20" was the S2000, and that was old AMVA, so that probably isn't ideal for you.

The problem with going used on eBay is of course the risk it's a dud... but considering new is $600, it's probably worth the risk. Benefit with going NEC or Eizo is you can ask the reseller to check the exact hours on the monitor too.

And there are 21.3" 1600x1200s if you prefer the monitor to be a bit bigger. Again, best bet would be on eBay, unless you feel like spending $900+ from the manufacturer.
