iPod touch is one hot product... literally... ;)

"He continues to suffer from both physical and mental conditions which will cause him to suffer pain, mental distress, emotional distress, and otherwise for the rest of his life"

This is what I hate about lawsuits. "Your honor, the kid stubbed his toe, which has caused him to become mentally scarred and emotionally traumatized and will never be able to live a normal life again"

The plaintiff's mother says that the family was not warned in advance of the potential risk that the "iTouch" would cause serious bodily injury, and Apple's 10 retail employees had a duty to not only test for this, but also warn customers.
Sometimes I have a hell of a hard time tolerating people. Going after the Apple retail employees for negligence on this one is just absolutely absurd.

Yeah, this sounds like one of the most ridiculous lawsuits ever. And I've seen some pretty dumb ones. However, I can't help but be a little worried about my iPod Touch exploding now, though the probability of such a thing happening is pretty remote.

"No, Mr. Average... I expect you to DIE!"
God I love those movies.

I hate these frivolous lawsuits though. Seriously, grow a pair and just deal with it.
Did I sue Sears when their Craftsmen circular saw snapped it's axle and nearly severed my thumb? No... I wrapped up my hand, went back to sears and bought a new damn saw cuz I had to work!

Honestly though, what are people doing to get exploding batteries all the time? I keep my iphone in my pants pocket all day, I run my laptop on carpet / bedding, and I never had anything like this happen.
