iPod or Zune??

So because you don't see the need to it justifies the requirement?

Yup. Anybody who hooks up their MP3 player to just ANY PC is simply retarded . . . unless you have it for disk usage and desperately need a file from it.

Folks, keep this civil and constructive or it goes to the big forum in the sky. This discussion has been amicable for 5 and a half pages - no reason to diverge from that practice at this point.

That is true, my best advice though for choosing either a zune, zen, or ipod is to actually look at one yourself. And get the one that has the features that you like, everyone here is different has different views, wants, and needs.

Ive found that zune owners will die for their zunes...as the same as ipod users
both hardcore fans will pick every bone at each other that is possible..."oh yea well zune acessories suck"...."well try to send me a song via wi-fi" those kind of duels

to make my point...if your in a quandary...go to best buy and try both in your hands and see what you like better...take alot of the things you read with a barrel of salt (not insulting anyone here btw)

Haha, ok whatever. I don't understand you ipod guys at all. Every ipod v Zune v whatever argument that comes out the "other" brand mp3 guys make a list a mile long of usable features that makes their player better than the ipod and the apple fanatics come out and say, "Because I don't use FM tuning, mic recording, FM recording, drag and drop, etc etc etc etc my ipod is the better player." Haha, that's like saying a 1982 Yugo is a better car than a 2005 Ferrari 575 because the Ferrari has a CD player and you don't see the need to listen to anything but FM and tapes.

There are many features on my mp3 player that I didn't think I would use that over the past 2 years of use I've found useful on more than one occasion. Using it on other computers was one and I've found that feature very useful many, many times. Last night I showed up to work and a coworker had a new CD on his mp3 player. Rather than waste my time downloading it he hooked his up to a computer and pulled it down, I hooked mine up to a computer and grabbed it....listened to it, liked it, hit a button on my player to buy the music next time I synced and bam, done. Much easier than emailing myself a 110 MB file of songs

If you like your ipod/iTunes great, it's a good player....but to sit and say it's the best with offerings such as the ZVM and others clearly trump it in features and usability is simply blind and baseless.

I'm just saying that it's not digitally sanitary to hook your MP3 player up to just any PC. I never said anything about FM tuning or whatever else you mentioned.

.

that i must agree with...if you have several friends who have creative or any player that doubles as a MSD and runs in explorer without needed drivers its VERY useful to trade songs without drm or any of that crap....one of the things creative did right IMO:p
