Well, I have a 4GB mini ipod, still sealed in the box. These things sell on ebay for over $300, which woudl put me at enough for a 6800GT, and porbably enough left over for a new mobo. I dunno what I shoudl do? I think the Ipod is cool, but I dont listen to music much, so I doubt I would use it much. I 6800GT I would get alot of use out of, but that takes another $100? Hmmmmm

Very easy choice....of course the 6800GT.......ipod not as fun as a 6800GT..then again i better watch what i say cause the maczelots will get jealous cause they can't use a 6800GT LOL

Hmm... a badass video card, or a little box that plays mp3s...

C'mon man, are you a gamer or are you a gamer?! You know what to do, now get to it soldier! :D

You know I've never understood the point of the iPod. 4-40 GIGS? For the love of god I don't have that much porn, let alone music, jesus, you'd think people would learn the wonders of mutiple cds and a cd wallet.

If you dont litsen to much music then get the 6800, its a hard choice but its yours alone.

i'd get the 6800GT and in a couple of months buy one of the new 20 gig 4th gen iPods.

256 megs is more than enough memory on an MP3 player. Of course, considering that the transfer speeds will be good.

The space also doubles as portable storage for regular pc files, so it's like a portable harddrive that's mini and can play mp3s. I remember stories during the first couple generations of the ipods where people would bring in their ipod to a store and connect it to a display mac using firewire and steal Office, Final Cut, and any other valuable software.

Are you a heavy gamer? Are you going to school or college fulltime? If going to college, a nice music player really helps kill time when waiting between classes and such. And maybe just get a 6800nu and save some cash.

Or maybe sell the ipod, get the GT, but then also get a different mp3 player that costs half or less than an ipod for just casual listening.

read a book instead of listening to music, that way you enhance your brain. then when your at home you should play videogames...to enhance your hand eye coordination. those damn ipods and all that hippy music you will store on it will just rot the brain.

enhance...asdkjfaskfjjfd....enhance..aosjdfksdf

Egay the pod Egay the pod Egay the pod Egay the pod Egay the pod

btw..I think you should sell the ipod on Ebay and buy a GT (if you can find one) ;)

I made a mistake of spending about $300 on an mp3 player a few years back. Back then, they were new and yet expensive, and it was a sone NW-MS11, the smallest one available at that time. I don't even want to listen to music anymore lol.

Well if I were you I would try and sell that iPod ASAP as they are fully back in stock and they are shipping as of the 24th. Which of course means you will no longer be able to get rid of it to fools on eBay for $300.

yeah, prolly gunna sell it, get a GT. I paid nothing for it, so I dont care either way...and to the man above, findind a GT is no problem. I think newegg has them, and if not, I think evga.com has them.

Ditch the Ipod and get the 6800GT. Unless you're blind. In which case the Ipod would provide a better user experience for you.

As long as your current system won't bottleneck it, ebay the iPod Mini, and get a 6800GT. :)

What kind of answer do you expect from people in a video secton of a hardware forum? :D

Get the GT!!!!

On a side note, iPod 4G seems to be sweeter than mini's as far as I'm concerned. Longer playback time is a HUGE plus considering iPod's crappy battery life.

it will, but the card will still perform great.... and for the other guy , I chose the mini over the 20GB because they go for more on ebay :p

I got a 20gb Ipod and have the damn thing near half full, and still have a few CDs still to load. I also got a buddy with enough CDs (well over 2000) in his house to fill TWO 40gb ipods. Its nice to have your music in one compact device than carrying around several CD wallets.....

Anyways, to the original poster...Decide what you will spend the most time with, listening to music or gaming....then you should know what you should do.
