So as the title states my iPod gets really touchy when first connected to the dock. It is currently plugged into my monitor, which is a dell 2208wfp if that matters.

But when I first connect it windows 7 pops up with an issue saying that the USB drive is not recgonized, but when I switch it from the current one it is plugged in to, into the one right on top of it it connects.

So is anyone else having this issue, or should I just connect it to the back of my computer. I did have this issue with XP pro as well, so I think it is more of an issue with the monitor USB connection drivers or something with the monitor.

Thanks in advance

just get it plugged to the pc and you'll be fine ... who uses on-monitor usbs ! :p

Any issues when pluggin into the computer directly? if not, stick with ziz54's solution and plug it into the pc.
