my girlfriend got a ipod 2 days ago and its been problem filled for EVER. at first no PCs would recognize it until i reset it and flashed the firmware. then i transfered songs to it and they dont play. just skip to the next song. i tired VBRfix, didnt do anything. it will occasionaly play one sone and thats it. i ran the embeded ipod diagnostics on it, the HDD and everything else is fine. so what can be the issue? i am running XP SP2 and using ephpod to transfer music. the music plays fine on my PC and on my 4g 20gb ipod.

help me out here please!

What file formats are you trying to play on it, and what are the specs of the file format?

Example: .mp3 stereo 44.1kHz @ 128kbps.

shes leaving to england on friday, and she had done a etching on the back. do you think the apple stores can do the same thing in store? or is it sent out for that type of stuff?

i think thats my LAST resort. i really dont want to install that POS program on my PC, but if anything i will.

Yeah it's a POS, but it's also an apple product. If I remember correctly, it's the only 100% compatible way to get audio onto any ipod.

ephpod works fine for me. then theres anapod that costs 30 bux and its the best windows "ipod transfer app" there is.
