a couple years ago i came up with an idea of making duct tape ipod skins. i made ton of them for my friends. i made gen 3, mini, gen 4. just get a piece of duct tape and fold fold fold...well i finally got my 2nd gen ipod nano the other day and i thought it would be to make one for my new ipod. well....so i did. i will post a worklog pretty soon, so for anyone of you that want to try this...wait til this weekend. here are some pics.

put a flap on it, wiht a piece of cardboard inbetween, and a piece of velcro to keep it closed, and the wheel/screen son't scratch as easily.
 
I used camo duct tape for my mp3 player back in the day...

Wow, it has been a long time since I used my mp3 player...
 
thanks for your comments guys...on the flap idea...i have clear film over the screen and the clickwheel (the one in the picture doesn't)

I workout with my iPod... so It'd get all sweaty and... ew..

If you are into modding ipod's, check out this site if you haven't seen it already. They do all sorts of LED color mods. You just buy the kit and install it. =)

actually it does...there are overlaps inside the case and sometimes the stick slides out, i have to take it out now and then to clean it...it comes right off thou.
 
I heard from a friend that you can buy the "Super Duct Tape" that Ducti uses for their duct tape wallets. It supposedly doesn't peel at all or anything, cause it's engineered for uses like this.
 
ohh guys that worklog have to wait...i;m only in highschool and i have a shit load on homework this weekend...NEED TO GET INTO A GOOD COLLEGE!!!

yeah there is a screen protector taht i made out of my old pokemon card protectors.
