So, what do you guys think? Even with the included adapter for the lightning to 3.5mm jack I don't like the fact that I can't listen to music, watch shows and charge the phone at the same time. Huge problem to me.

Don't really care for the Jet Black. And I laughing at the BS about how it's the best display on a smartphone.

The cameras however do look awesome. I am trying to figure out if the iPhone 7 could fit in iPhone 6S cases. I got a Snap! Pro for iPhone 6S. And if the phone fits, I wouldn't bother with the iPhone 7 Plus.

I do find it funny Apple insists on calling this a "beautiful new design." I guess when HTC stops innovating on design, Apple hasn't found anyone else to copy, and then have their trolls like BGR accuse HTC of being a copycat.

My pre-order is going in on Friday for the 7Plus. Getting rid of the S7 Edge. The S7 has been by far the worst phone I have ever owned. Nothing but errors, lock outs, restarts, app failures, etc. Never had an issue with my last iPhones. Gave Android another shot, had the HTC Evo back in the day and enjoyed that but since then have had the iPhone until now.

Will also be getting the Apple watch series 2. I have the first one and enjoyed it, GF has it now since I have the Gear S2.

Yes the features on the iPhone and watch are features that are already on other devices but IMO iOS is a far more stable operating system than anything else. That is just my personal opinion from the use I do on a daily basis.

While I like the Jet Black, I think I will be going for the regular black. I have the gloss black on the S7 Edge and its not really all that spectacular. Just shows fingerprints and dust easier.

It honestly looms lije a looks nice upgrade over previous iPhones.

The water resistance can't be overstated... While it is only ip67, that still gets you adequate protection from everyday issues like rain, accidental dunks in the toilet, sweat etc.

I think they are doing good things with the camera but it's sad to see the smaller phone losing out on camera features once again, though I'm sure some of this is physical space limitations.

Coming with 32gb base storage is a huge relief... 16gb is nothing but trouble come iOS update time... I hear people at work complaining about this all the time with their 16gb with corporate phones...

As a former iPhone addict (3GS to 6 Plus), I didn't see anything that inspired me to return. I'm sure the 7 will be an excellent phone, but I'll be sticking with my HTC 10 for the foreseeable future.

I have Beats Studio Wireless and the new Bose QC35s and have had bluetooth headphones for almost 2 years now. Since I got them I realized not once did I ever need or want to use the 3.5mm jack. Apple covered what I wanted most from the new iPhones, water resistance, and better battery life. Ill probably get the iPhone 7 128GB and the Apple watch series 2. Just need to unload my series one watch soon.

Yea I went with the cheaper Ion-X glass basically chemically strengthened ones for the series one because I didnt know how much I would like it, it doesnt have as many scratches as I would have thought. I had the Moto 360 1st gen before and my god was it a piece of crap compared to the Apple Watch. Now that I have had the Apple watch for a while I know that I like it so I will be getting the sapphire glass version, actually pretty excited about the series 2's ability to track swimming and the gps since swimming and mountain biking are the exercises I do the most. Which is why I will be getting the iPhone 7 so I can leave it nearby now.

My sport watch has seen quite a few mountain bike falls, one even at a 30mph DH crash and only has 1 very small hairline scratch on it. It holds up pretty well. Hoping the series 2 does the same.

I was lucky if I got 2 days. Battery would be at about 40% from 1 day of use. Hopefully it gets better. I can go 3 days on my Gear S2.

Im at around 55% after 1 day. Drains to about 50% when I wake up in the morning the next day. My old Moto 360 would be lucky to get a full day.

Looking at my paid off 5s, 6+ and newly 6s for $350 (iP5 trade in) from the Tmo deal, it's hard to spend nearly 1K on a iPhone that looks and functions nearly the same.

Looks ok. I'm on a 6, so the upgrade is worth it. I don't think I would be excited about it if I was on a 6s.

I really like the jet black.
I like the stereo speakers.
Apple HomeKit looks nice.
Faster CPU is faster.
Mario game looks pretty bleh.
Don't care about the Pokemons.
Cringe every time apple says it's a gaming platform or mentions console level graphics.

How did ditching the headphone jack improve the phone other than maybe a subjective aesthetics improvement? There was no disadvantages of having it, so why would you be glad for it to be gone? There are water resistant phones that have them, so that isn't it.

I don't use it often, but it's certainly nice to have on the occasion when I'm in a car that doesn't have BT media streaming available like a lot of previous gen GM vehicles and in some rentals and government owned vehicles I have to drive for work.

It'll be nice when Apple goes to USB C though so everything will be on the same standard, though I'm sure that's still a couple gens away if it happens at all.

Its a part for failure, its a weak spot for obtaining water resistance, less and less people are using as BT headphones are becoming a bigger thing.

If you are worried about headphone quality, a pair of cans with an onboard DAC using the USB connection > legacy stereo jack.

About the ONLY reason to keep it was because of all the cheap headphones prior that were still using it.

If you are in a car old enough that doesn't have BT then you shouldn't worry about spending $20 to get an attachment to make it work. You should also effectively be using less power this way as you are now using your cars amp and DAC.

Notice I said navigation too; which kills your phone much faster than audio playback whether it's using its built-in amp/DAC or not. No car's factory nav touches Waze or Google Maps, so I always use my phone in a dock with one of those to navigate.

I use my phone like this all the time in Hawaii, my phone doesn't burn through battery at all but I do use iMaps. I drive a 2001 mustang with a busted radio so I couldn't use it if I wanted too.

The Y adapter will surely be made though so I doubt this is an issue for long.

Wow thats pretty eye opening that a car that recent doesnt have BT media streaming. That sucks, because all of the new cars these days are getting Apple CarPlay which does media over USB, soon to be Wi-Fi.

Yeah, it's super annoying too because I don't want to replace the factory head/nav unit with some ghetto looking aftermarket one that probably won't work with most of the other stuff that ties into it, but I have an old aftermarket unit in my older Altima that works great with BT phone and media. I don't plan on getting a new car anytime soon.. never had a car payment and don't plan to adopt one if I don't have to.

I've already addressed this about my vehicles and also said it isn't exclusive to my own vehicles.. I can't replace the factory system in my work's government vehicle or in rentals that I get through work .

Have you looked into seeing if there is an adapter that can be wired to the back of the unit? Buddy's is300 didn't have a USB connection but they made a kit and he just had to hook it up to the back of the unit

is there no bluetooth RF modulator that is powered by a 12v plug and you tune your radio to?
Maybe even one with a lightning plug to charge your phone.

Apple on USB-C? Not likely to happen. They want to control their accessory market. I think they even get revenue from the connector.
