iPhone 4 disable SMS popup notification

I just got an iPhone and was wondering of there was anyway to disable the popup that shows when I get a text message. I've tried googling but the only fix that came up was how to disable previews. I've done that but still get a popup notification sayingi received a text message. I just want to receive messages in the background without being notified by popup, just sound.

Maybe an app or something? Thanks

Can't be done, at least not without jailbreaking (and even then I don't know).
 
Yeah I've jail broken the phone, just having a hard time trying to find an app or fix

edit: found an app called iblacklist on cydia and it works great for hiding the popup. Woot.

there is a jailbreak only app called "QuickDismiss" that allows you to hit the home button to dismiss popups
