Just finished a new rig, it boots, and everything posts fine. I tried to install Vista premium OEM but when it asks "Where do you want to install Window?" I choose my destination drive and then Window says "Windows is unable to find a system volume that meets its criteriafor installation". "This computer's hardware may not be supported to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu".

Any ideas? I went through BIOS and there is no disk controller option. Tried to reload Vista again but got the same thing. TIA.

Could be a harddrive issue or the wire that goes to it. Have you checked out bios? If bios does not see your drive we're in trouble. I can't say it's a motherboard issue yet. One thing you could do is to try another motherboard connector (sata).

Bios sees both of my drives and the Sata cables seem fine. I can't install Vista on either drives.

Are you using Raid? Didn't think that was an option on the IP35-E but thought I would check. Does sound like a possible Drive issue.
