IP35-E not booting, seeing e4600 as 1 cpu, sometimes no video

Hey.
I wasn't very sure on if I should post in the intel CPU forum or in here, so I figured this one was a better choice based on my issue.

My computer was custom built last march with an ABIT ip35-e, e4600 and crucial ballistix 800mhz 2x1gb ram (next time I'm looking at reviews on ram before I buy, lol. I got the replacements and they've worked pretty well.) and 9600gt. A few months later I upgraded to an 8800gtx and had no problems.

Now I can't get past the startup screen where it shows the specs. It's showing my processor at the right speed, and says 1 cpu then hangs at the word memory. I let it sit for a few hours and it just stayed there. Figuring the ram was bad (that was my 3rd set, but the new revision) I rma'd the ram and get my new set. It worked, for one startup. Now it's not starting up again, and having the same issues as before. Except now sometimes it won't even show the startup screen. I replaced the 8800gtx with my old 9600gt, and that didn't fix it. I've also tried reseating the CPU, with mixed results. Sometimes it works, other times it the same issue.

Since the video doesnt always come up, and the CPU also has issues, I'm guessing its the motherboard, but i'd like some input from [H].

Thanks!

I tried that with my other set before this RMA, it worked temporarily but had the same issues. I also tried different sockets, with the same issue.

is it just me or the IP35-E the buggiest pos board? I've had nothing but strange issues with this board. When it works its flawless, but thats the problem. I had to hard power down 4 times this morning to get it to post and boot.
