Is this a good reliable NAS? It comes with 2x1TB harddrives and is selling for $200 @amazon.
I gave away my old Synology DS 111 to a relative, and I was looking 2bay NAS with iscsi ability for Vshere setup. I will replace the HDDs with 2x2TB Samsung F4 and set it up in raid1. Also from info, it can handle 5 ipcam, do I need to pay license fee like Synology?

Noooooooooo. Stay away from them. Get another Synology. Well worth the price. Not sure on the ip cam licensing though.

Thanks /usr/home. I may use my current foxconn barebone with atom d2700 for Freenas. But it won't allow me for future expansion, because it has only 2 sata ports and no pcie slot. I am currently running WinServer 2012 as domain controller on this barebone.

Horrible devices....was forced to use 2 of the 4 tb versions at one of my old sites (already purchased and wouldn't switch). I wanted to bash my head in the wall after dealing with those things.

They do work better than buffalo cloudstore, not saying much though
