hello all, I am looking into purchasing a KVM(keyboard, Video, Monitor)
looking at a 4-port KVM from IOGear(linky) and I'm not having any luck finding any reviews, other then one from VyW but their site is down.

I currently have a startech 4-port KVM which works great but does allow for USB, for Audio.
also it doesn't work too well with my Logitech Coredless MX Duo,

and from what I've hear this IOGear KVM seems to be one of the only KVM's that actually work well with that keyboard set.

anybody with any experiences with this KVM?

thank for your help,
Josh

well since nobody has used it before... I went and bought it.
I'll post some pics of it later.

but for those that would like to know... it's very cool works like a carm
and yes I am using it with my linux box's as well and I have had no issues at all.
all the buttons work.

my second KVM so far. and it is the best by far.

Definitely post some pics. It looks pretty cool. I have an APC rackmount 8-port KVM that is all PS2 and an Atec 4-port KVM that is PS2 input and USB output. That was the only one I could find at the time like that.

I have 2 of them running dual 21" monitors off of four different computers\cards
PNY Quadro FX 3000, GeForce4 MX 440, Matrox G550, GeForce MX2 (all dual head cards)
most reasonable solution I found to drive dual 2048 x 1536
(of course the MX2 isnt able to do that but, I dont ask it to)

I highly recommend them ;)

but cant address the keyboard mouse compatibility sorry

I have this KVM as well and I'm pretty happy with it...

The shortcut key combos are fucking ridiculous though. I'm using it with a MX Duo and would love to be able to program the function keys to switch to a specific computer. Anybody got any ideas?

yeah that also annoys the heck out of me.. my old KVM all I had to do was hit Ctrl twice then the number of the console (1-4)

but now it's Hold Num Lock then hit - then let go of Num Lock, then hit the number of the console I want, then hit enter...

although I did notice hitting Ctrl twice will cycle through the consoles

I dont use the shortcut keys
oh my I have to push a different button 12" away :p

Mine I have to just hold CTRL down for a few seconds (or less) to switch computers. It gets annoying when I am cutting and pasting and it jumps to the next computer though.

almost :p

hey it was one less character and Im lazy :p

these are really nice KVM with high quality cables
decent instructions and even the power adapters are well thought out, they will work side by side on a typical strip, onlike many others I own
