i like the idea of mixing up the traditional case layout, and i'm somewhat shopping around for such a case, but i'd like to make sure i don't miss any options, as most of the cases i've found so far don't quite meet either my tastes or requirements.

the P180 is very nice, but i've got my reservations. (omitted to conserve space, but no !!!!!!s, plz)
the Temjin 06 is one i don't see people mention too much, but i'm wondering how restrictive the top rear of the case is for both wiring and heat purposes. any owners care to comment?
the Lian Li v1k and v2k series are also impressive, but again i'm wondering how they deal with heat near the pci area. my current video card is passive, so stagnant heat would be death.
other than that, i've seen an aerocool that looks suspciously (exactly) like the temjin 06, and that's about it for this market.

have i missed any?

um dude, the p180 is standard ATX...

I think he's thinking about the psu in the bottom of the case. But the mobo is standard orientation.

i have the silverstone tj-06. its a good quality case and as long as you have a good psu that sucks air up and out then you should be ok. I have never had a problem w/heat build up. Before i water cooled my case i was getting very good temps on my 6600gt w/stock fan so like i said get a good psu and ur golden.

The TJ06 is a favorite of my customers (built 4 so far) and I got one for myself.
Left stock, the HDD placement makes the choice of PSU important (as kid8 mentioned),
but the case is easily modified for better HDD cooling if necessary.
The CM Stacker can also be configured in pseudo-BTX position (my first (early) one was a straight swap, but my second (current model) version required a tiny bit of modding to just flip the mobo tray around...have no idea why CM made that change) and is big enough to accept almost any cooling system you want to install.

i use an aerocool spiral galaxies and i love it. tons of space and cools very well. although i did take off the plastic hood that goes over the cpu and stuff
