I'm trying to reorganize some files on a server here, and when I try to move certain files from one drive to the other, I get an error that says 'Cannot move blah blah: Invalid MSDOS Function'. What gives? Ive had this error come up on me at home, when I was trying to copy files from a CD to the HD. I put the CD into another CDROM and it worked fine. Any idea what this could be here? The files are coming from a shared folder on the server, if that makes any difference. There should be nothing using these folders, as they are most are .msi folder and distribution point folders for office and other programs.

In my case when I had this error it was bad sectors on my hdd. It has to do with windows not being able to read a file
