Hey Fellas,
So here is my issue. I have a router that works with 128-bit WPA2-AES encryption. I can connect wirelessly through any laptop in my apartment. However, I have a desktop that has no wireless card so I have to connect via ethernet....except the router is too far away. So all I want to be able to do is share me internet connection from my laptop to my PC. My laptop connects to the router wirelessly and I share it via an ethernet cord from my laptop to my PC.
When I connect them, my Windows 7 OS says that there is no connectivity. I check the diagnostic and it says that my modem is experiencing connectivity issues which is impossible because I wouldn't be able to write this if that was the case. I think the problem is that the Windows machine can't authenticate with the router because earlier this year I used a WEP encrypted router and it worked just fine. Does anyone know how to get around this? (I really don't want to revert to WEP).
