internet loss:time warner cable

my computer is using peer guardian and the winxp sp2 firewall. it is behind a netgear router. spybot and adaware detect 0 spyware and mcafee detects 0 viruses in safemode. a few weeks back i did have a few trojan or spyware issues, but they were gone...


however for hte last 3 days, anytime my computer is on the .10 ip (havent tested others) it crashes the network every 5 minutes or so. why is my comput crashing the network? is it under attack? are companies trying to flood my comp? should i change ip to automatic?

this happens with p2p programs closed, and no real internet activity on my part. though it is frustrating.

try a diffrent router or leave that comp off.
