Internet keeps disconnecting

My internet keeps disconnecting after awhile and will only work after I restart my computer. I have made sure that Windows doesn't shut off the network adapter to save power. I have also updated to the newest driver, which didn't work. Afterwards I uninstalled the driver and installed the original that came with my motherboard, that didn't work either. My modem is working fine. I have an nForce 4 motherboard with onboard ethernet. Any ideas as to how to solve this problem will be greatly appreciated as it has become fairly annoying. Thank you.

It sounds like something on your computer is consuming all of your networking resources.

You could also pull up the command line and run "netstat -ano" and see if anything is consuming a ton of connections.

Other than that, do a virus scan to see if anything hidden is up to no good.
