I removed an internal hard drive from a desktop. After connecting the hard drive to another computer with a USB cable and an external case for the hard drive, the computer would recognize the hard drive, but would not read it. How can I use this internal hard drive as an external hard drive? Thanks in advance.

Assuming the drive is IDE...make sure the jumper is set to master as most externals require that.

The internal hard drive is a Seagate 60 GB 3.5". The enclosure is a Mad Dog Megavault 3.5". The connections are the long USB at one end and the square USB at the other. Thanks for all your help.
