K last part for my new i5-4670k / z87x-ud4h build.

Last one I got was the best rated/reviewed Samsung I could find. Had great scores, and it has performed admirably.

But stock on those things shifts so frequently it seems.

So asking you guys, if you were throwing together a nice rig right now, which dvd rw would you grab? List one or two reasons.

Personally I am partial to Samsung/Asus used to like Plextor, but I'm not exclusive to these brands.

I feel a healthy price range for this part is $15-$30

Since their are really only 1 or 2 manufacturers of DVD drives these days, it really doesn't matter which one you buy. Therefore, get the cheapest one you can find.

Really. Get the prettiest one you like with 4+ stars. They are so cheap and rarely bad that I don't put a second thought towards picking one out.

asus drw-24b1st is what I use, not expensive and work very well, I don't burn anything never have, but have heard overall the old Panasonic and Plextor were the best in this regard as in they lasted the longest, few with lightscribe would match them, anyways that's my pick, these are fast and overall quite a bit less noisy then my older LG ones(you can hear them spin up by all means but no rattles or whatever, and apparently their accuracy for burning audio and such is top notch)
~$20
