Alright I am looking for some opinons on internet card readers. I tried two so far, both had pros and cons. I dont feel like opening up my case again until I can find one that I can use and not be disappointed with it. Times like this I wish I lived on the west coast so I could goto Fry's and physically see the items.

Here are some of my issues. I am a digital photographer so I use Sandisk Compact Flash Extreme series cards. They 'can' transfer at 60mb/s (I don't expect to get that but 15+mb/s would be great). Working with RAW image files means each image is anywhere from 18-25mb give or take and I can put about 390 images on a 8mb card. I have a crappy point and shoot that I have for my family to use that has a SD card in it. The image files on that camera are so small that as long as the SD port works I dont care.

This is what I am looking for in my card reader if anyone can give me some insite to ones they have bought and had good luck with them.

- Fast transfer rate (10mb/s+, 15-20mb/s+ would be great!)
- Deep Compact Flash port
- Workable guides for the CF port
- 1 USB port on the front
- SD port
- motherboard header if possible but it if has to wrap outside the case and in the back thats fine too

I have the rosewill, and for the most part I like it. I've not had any problems with bending pins, but ever since flashing my bios to the latest rev., the card reader ports haven't been functioning properly. It worked wonderfully prior, and I've verified it functions properly on another computer, so the issue isn't with the card reader itself.

Have you thought to look on digital photography forums for opinions? You might find more people there who could give more critical reviews of card readers.

Yeah I might have to. I figured this is more a hardware issue it would be better suited here but it's not a very popular topic it seems.

I have the Rosewill one and havent had any problems with it in over a year of pretty good use.
