So my monitor was showing black lines up they'd flash on and off, it was really annoying so to test this me and my roommate swap monitors. Well back to ground zero, he hasn't seen any black lines, and neither have I. Any suggestions?
 
perhaps something near you monitor is causing a problem? speakers can do it sometimes, as can gsm cellphones.
 
I mean my speakers are right near my monitor, but with the change i havent noticed anything and i've played games and whatnot with sound on

EDIT: Nevermind he just saw the lines

Anyway guess im looking into a new monitor, I think ill get a pretty nice one.
 
There are no visible breaks in the cable but this is one that you cant just replace the cable, and I have no warranty on the monitor. I bought it used like two years ago.
