Ok.. so the BIOS say's my timings are 2.5-4-4-8. I looked at the actual RAM module and it say's CL = 2.5 6-3-3 (i'm guessing that would mean 2.5-3-3-6)... does this mean i can change it to 2.5-3-3-6 in the BIOS? My motherboard is holding out on me with the RAM timings man.. lol..

thanks

It's geil value RAM PC3200. I also checked with their website and the specs say that it runs at 2.5 3-3-6 aswell.. the motherboard is Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe.. Thanks for the reply

All the timing info is on the SPD chip (little square flash chip on your ram, find waldo!) So yes your BIOS can screw that info and try to run it at whatever it wants, but that doesnt mean its going to work. =)

Well, i set it to 2.5-3-3-6 booted up everything seemed ok.. rebooted and now i'm running memtest for one 100% pass.. then i plan to run some prime 95 (blend test that uses 99% of RAM)...

if this passes.. i think i'm gonna try 2-3-3-6.. those will be the timings i'm satisfied with
