With the system below, I have an interesting problem with my wireless network card. Any time my video card is being used (games, rthdribl), my connection speed slows down to an absolute crawl. Of course the worst effect of this is that I am completely able to play any multiplayer games, what with latencies over two seconds. I have already tried moving the network card into other pci slots, to no avail. Anyone have any ideas?

could be electronic interference but thats kinda odd. where is your monitor at? is it close to the computer or is it below it? does the signal's path go through the mointor? how many walls and rooms does the signal have to go through to reach the router? what type of wireless are you using? 802.11b or 802.11g? these are all things to consider with wireless networks ESPECIALLY for gaming. plz post answers to all of these questions so that people will be more informed and be able to help you.
 
That's interesting. How's gaming performace when this occurs?
 
It's 802.11G. Gaming performance isnt effected at all. I will look into the signal path today, as there are a number of different access points I could possibly be connected to.
 
Also, its not just games that are effected. If I run rthrdibl, I cant even surf the internet.
 
not sure if someone else mentioned this but sounds like its sharing an IRQ

move it to a different pci slot.
 
I have tried that already. It does the same in every PCI slot, even the one thats recommended by MSI for wireless network cards.

I seem to have fixed it. The antenna was making contact with a whole tangle of cables behind my computer. Thanks for the help everyone, turns out im just stupid.
