So, I've been an avid user of windows for a looong time...and I've never run across this issue...
Today, I went to work and when I came back and the computer wasn't responding to my attempt to wake it up, which happens occasionally. So, I reset it...However, when it rebooted and I logged back in, it ignored my user profile and built a new one.
Instead of using my existing profile named newxperiment, it created a new profile called newxperiment.mypc; which is obviously using the naming scheme of <user>.<pc name>
Everything was still saved in my original profile's folder and I did not lose anything....But I'm stumped as to why this happened, if anyone has any insight that would be great.
