After being told that the ( PAT ) on motherboards will disable above 217fsb 1:1 ratio I investigated and its true. At 218fsb it turns off and is disabled... I verified this with cpuid. Now I was curious as to what performance gains or loss this would incur. My first test was setting mb to 5:4 ratio at 3.2ghz and ran 3dmark2003 got a score of 6991. I then changed to 217fsb with a 2.4c running at 2.6ghz 1:1 ratio and got a score of 6988. wow lol ! anyways thought you guys would be interested and might want to try this on your machines also.

3Dmark2003 is more on VGA card and memory bandwidth performance..

for my specs, between 2.4Ghz and 3.6Ghz, my marks difference only less than 300
