That is under XP, I asked for Vista.
There is 1 review using the 1024 version under vista (in OP), I still look for more.
Where does it say XP? I don't see where it states OS at all.
What difference does it make anyway? Do you think ATI drivers will magically improved 1GB cards but not 512MB cards?
The one glaringly obvious thing this provides, is that ATI 1GB cards do next to nothing for performance vs ATI 512MB cards. Do your own searches all early and current reviews pointed out the same thing. The 1GB cards offer no significant performance improvement.
Changing OS won't change that. The 1GB cards are nothing but a further waste of money over the 512MB cards which are already a waste of money in terms of bang/buck.
If you believe Falcon NW, who wants to sell pointlessly more expensive 1GB cards, then I have bridge to sell you.
Fact: the 1GB cards offer negligible performance gains in neither single card, nor crossfire. OS will not change this relationship.
Fact: reviews are all over the place show 512mb cards getting ass handed to them in Vista and Crossfire as well. Example:http://techreport.com/reviews/2007q2/radeon-hd-2900xt/index.x?pg=11
Fact: The FalconNW/PCmag review, reports only the cherry picked test that ATI wins, no sign of any improved performance. FalconNW has a semi "exclusive" and want to push these cards.
Fact: Fanboy denial is getting tiresome.
