Interal radiator + T-Line Question?

I own an Antec Solution Series case, which is a bit cramped. Would it be plausible to run an internal radiator? I plan on getting a heater core from DangerDen or using a Black Ice Pro. Would my temperatures be affected greatly if I put the radiator inside my case (on the rear 120mm fan mount) as opposed to mounting it on the outside?

Speaking of mounting it on the rear, how exactly are radiators/heater cores mounted to the case? My case has a fan clip (a plastic mount screwed to the case; the fan slips inside the mounts), would this work or am I better off removing the plastic mount and drilling new holes?

I also want to run a T-Line, because I don't feel like paying $20 for a resivoir that's just going to take up a drive bay.. DangerDen makes a Fillport which goes at the single perpendicular part of a T-Line (well it connects to the hose going to the line, but whatever). Are there any cheaper alternatives to this? Paying $11 for something that small seems like a ripoff. Could I just clamp the end of the hose (coming off the perpendicular section of the T-Line) off and shove it inside the case until I need to refill?

The BIP has a prebuilt shroud attached to it that has screw holes in the same spot as a 120mm fan, assuming the fan clip doesn't get in the way you could attach the radiator the fan and have the fan attached to the case with the fan clip, otherwise you will have to remove the fan clip. You will probably see slightly worse temperatures depending upon how you set up the radiator. If you have the radiator attached to the back you will likely be exhausting air through the radiator, which means you are using warmer air running through the radiator, which would hurt the thermal dissipation properties of the radiator.

As to the fillport, yes you can just clamp of the tubing, or you could get a ball valve at home depot for real cheap.

That really depends on exactly what he is going to be cooling with his loop. If you are cooling your CPU and video card, you have pretty much removed all of the major heat sources from the inside of your case, and made the radiator the point of heat dissipation for them. So there really wouldn't be much (if any) adverse effect of blowing case air through the radiator.

There are still plenty of other heat producing items in the case, HD, mosfets, RAM, NB, enough to keep the case at least a few degrees over ambient, which means you will get worse performance...just may not be much worse.

I too have an Antec and are currently doing what you want to do. But i have an BIX mounted on that 120mm fan spot. Well i have a pic, but i have to reseize cause its 1600x1200

So, a 120mm radiator should fit inside my case (my case)?
