I don't know what happened but all of the sudden my mouse started to freeze. The red light just suddenly turns off, mouse dont work.. than in a about 2-4 seconds it lights back on and the mouse starts back up.. I got so frustrated and reinstalled windows. Fresh format , didnt help ( i installed norton right after i formatted NO VIRUSES FOUND.). What can b the problem. I get this problem with both USB and Regular input. I play alot of online Multiplayer games and i cant Own with this huge mouse problem. can someone please help me.
I Would really appreciate it.

ooops forgot one thing. my friend overclocked my comp from 2.6c to 2.9 first. than in a month to 3.3. i thought that was the problem. so i set all the settings to defaults. Maybe that is the problem.. can someone please help
i dont know whats going on.

sounds like a bad mouse to me.
I would RMA it, I had one go bad on me about a year ago.
M$ will usually send you a new one, no questions asked.

how did you interpret the positive post "microsoft will replace it no questions asked" as a negative and then reply "damnit" ?? be happy its a microsoft mouse and not a logitech, AFAIK logitech doesn't have the same policy.

USB or PS2?

got this prob on my PS2 optical mouse (not intelli).. just that the connector not fit enough.. reclamp the mouse's connector and all done!
