Question. How can I check the firmware number on my new X-18M 80GB Gen 1 drive? I have no clue if it's updated with the firmware update from earlier in the year that fixed the performance degradation issue. Model I have is the SSDSA1MH080G1GN

I know I won't get TRIM support but at least I want to know if that fix got in or not.

Bought it at Microcenter off of some kind of bundle migration package. $200. :)

Stupid Intel messes up a Firmware update to the Gen 2 drives which means ALL firmware updates for ALL models are disabled on their site. Lame. :/

Theres probably an easier way but if you have an intel chipset install intel matrix storage console.

Okay so I have bios version 045C8610 for my X-18M SSD. Now does that contain the fixes from last year or not? Thanks.

That software says I don't meet the minimum requirements ?
Gigabyte EP35C motherboard with Q6600 Intel CPU. Am I missing something here?

Wtf, I just got off the phone with Intel and they wouldn't email me the 8820 firmware update for my GEN 1 SSD. I was given a hint that the 8820 was the last firmware release before the TRIM firmware so this hopefully is the one I want. Anyone care to email me or link me to where I can find the 8820 firmware? Thanks.
